The small form-factor pluggable (SFP) is a compact,
hot-pluggable transceiver used for each telecommunication and information
communications applications.
SFP optics are designed to support SONET, Gigabit LAN, Fibre
Channel, and different communications standards. Most SFP optics are used for
Gigabit LAN and come in a wide range of transmitters/receivers for various
distances and fiber varieties as well as conversion to RJ-45 (copper).Solid
